Based in Washington State with her husband, three young children, and their beloved pups, April Shine is the founder of Shine Strategies—a consulting practice committed to helping organizations amplify their social, community, and public impact. Shine Strategies partners with foundations, nonprofits, and government systems to drive systemic solutions that improve lives and strengthen communities in Washington and across the country.
A lifelong advocate for children, April brings deep experience in political consulting, public policy development, government relations, and community impact. Her work reflects a steadfast dedication to bringing joy and opportunity to all.
April holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!) and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
